Day 42 – Newquay to Perranporth

By

Brilliant day today. The sun was out and I was able to wear a t-shirt and shorts all day. I have to say I wasn’t expecting the coastal path to be so grueling, despite the mere 10 mile walking distance to Perranporth. As you can inagine there are many steep ascents and descents, and during some parts of the path you don’t get a break from it for hours. After so much level walking along roads these past 20 days my body just wasn’t used to that much exertion since Scotland, but it soon whipped into gear. With committing myself to lower mileage now I have been able to enjoy the view a lot more, and even get a bit of sun.
